"I'm Real" Canvas Print

About the art:

This piece begins with a Polaroid photograph I took, a moment captured in physical space, light chemically fixed onto film. I then layered digital drawing over the image, adding color, shapes, and the text: “If the void is real, so am I.”

The original landscape of dense brush, cactus, and Texas sky becomes a backdrop for something more internal. The added forms interrupt the image, almost like thoughts breaking through a quiet scene. 

This work explores existence, doubt, and presence. If emptiness can exist, if absence can feel tangible, then presence must be just as real. The void does not cancel the self. It confirms it.

Blending analog and digital processes mirrors that tension: what is tangible versus what is conceptual, what is seen versus what is felt.

This piece is a reminder that even in vastness, even in uncertainty, you are undeniably here.
