About the painting:
The space between two people can be louder than touch.
“The Untouchable Space of Almost” explores the tension of intimacy that can never be realized: the charged moment where desire, recognition, and restraint coexist. Two surreal heads hover together, suspended in vivid color against a darkened, abstracted cityscape. Their closeness suggests connection, yet an invisible boundary remains, holding them apart. Beneath them, a gaping mouth protrudes from the ground, waiting.
Painted in bold, saturated hues with expressive brushwork, this work leans into contrast: heat against shadow, closeness against distance, longing against refusal. It reflects the experience of loving something or someone just beyond reach, and the fear of what crossing the threshold would mean.
